This listing is for a Star Trek CCG 1994 Premiere Alpha starter box, containing 12 starter decks, each with 60 cards and a 35 page rules booklet. 

This listing is NOT the overwhelmingly (and often poorly) produced 1995 Beta edition. Many of the listings on Ebay claim 1994 in the description yet contain the much less valuable 1995 cards. Perhaps they don't know the difference, or are using Ebay's automatic item description, which is often incorrect. 

Each of the 12 decks will contain 2 rares, 13 uncommons, and 45 commons. This works out to the following per box (assuming no collation errors):

24 rares (of 121 total in the set)

156 uncommons (of 121 in the set), which works out to an average of ~1.29 complete sets

540 commons (of 121 in the set), which works out to an average of ~4.46 complete sets. 

These boxes are your only affordable chance at opening a pack fresh Alpha Jean-Luc Picard, U.S.S. Enterprise, or Data. The 1994 Alpha booster boxes are several times more expensive than these starter deck boxes. 

The pricing works out to be just under $6.67 per deck, or on a per box basis roughly:

$2 per rare

$10 per uncommon set

$3.50 per common set

Condition is "New Old Stock" as the boxes are sealed but have spent time in a warehouse and have collected some dust on and around the outer shrink wrap. The starter decks within the sealed starter box are themselves individually sealed, and will be in new condition. Also, the cards themselves within the sealed deck are also sealed, so two layers of shrink wrap to get to the cards on any given deck. 

Representative pictures are given of an open deck. This is not the black border LE version. Do not buy these expecting the LE version. We know the difference, and these are Alpha. 

And lastly, the wholesalers who sold this item for the better (or worse?) part of the last 26 years have completely run out, largely due to overwhelming demand over the last year. There is no way for us to replenish the stock in any meaningful way other than private purchases. Our selling prices will only go up as our supply on hand dwindles.
