1770s British Basket Hilt Sword by "REDDELL & BATE"

c. War of 1812 Era, British Basket Hilt Sword, with Engraved Blade, Very Fine.

This c. 1770's Revolutionary War - War of 1812 British Basket Hilt Sword has a 30.5" curved single-edged Etched Blade depicting acid etched decorations, "GR" King George III Royal Cypher and made by "REDDELL & BATE", "WARRENTED". Large gilded brass basket-hilt (some old repairs). Original wood grip with remnants of leather wrap and twisted brass wire. No scabbard.
