Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the classic silent film drama/romance, THE SON OF THE SHEIK, released in 1926 by United Artists and directed by George Fitzmaurice. Rudolph Valentino stars in his final film appearance (before his untimely death at the age of 31) as the son of the sheik who falls in love with a dancing girl (Vilma Banky) but seeks his revenge when he is made to believe that she has betrayed him.

The image features an interior long shot of the elder Sheik Ahmed Ben Hassan (Rudolph Valentino), wearing an elaborate Middle Eastern outfit with a large dagger tucked into the sash around his waist, standing confidently on a rug in front of a patterned drapery. Handwritten in pencil on the verso is a blurb by the original theater exhibitor who showed the film in 1926. Printed for the film's original 1926 US theatrical release by United Artists, this vintage original photograph is in fine- condition with light signs of wear on the top left corner; smudging/ghosting from a rubber stamp in the top background area above his head; and light signs of random wear in the borders.
