MINT – As good as the day it was sold as new. ONE QUALIFICATION ALLOWED: A store stamp/sticker may be present on otherwise Mint sheet music as the music was sold this way. If such a stamp is present, it will be noted.
NEAR MINT – This is otherwise Mint material with some small defect such as a small edge nick, corner bend, scuff from shelf wear, etc. I will always disclose the defect that causes this rating.
USED – This rating is used for all music that has signs of handling, wear or use. The wear can range from almost none to very worn. These defects can include edge tears, spine separations, corner wear, creases, stains, soiling, wrinkling, water damage, scuffs, abrasions, writing or other defects which affect the appearance or stability of the sheet music.
REPAIRS
I DISCLOSE ALL REPAIRS made to the music as well as the type and extent of repair. Repairs may be of the following types:
GLUE – any form of pure adhesive, such as paste, mucilage or rubber cement, which has been use to repair the paper.
TAPE – this may be cellophane, invisible, paper, fabric, glassine or masking and will be identified.
ARCHIVAL – this refers to modern, acid/lignin-free archival tissues and mending tapes

I NOTE ANY MARKINGS ON THE MUSIC. These may be store stamps, owner stamps, owner signatures or marks, autographs and facsimile signatures. I do not include artist signatures that are part of a photograph in this category.
