Novalays overlay cards and adhesive skins are a great way to improve the look and feel of your studio space and equipment. They can be used to mark up controls for performances or individual projects, and provide a fantastic array of alternative designs for standard pieces of electronic gear.
Available in a wide variety of colours - use the drop down list to pick the colour you would like, or alternatively add a note to your order with details of the shade or tone you're after (you can even provide hex, pantone or RGB values if you know them) and we will do what we can to provide it :-)
The overlays are designed with cut-outs to allow visual access to the labels for the main equipment controls. Some less significant controls may not be visible with the overlay in place. Please refer to the pictures for a good idea of how this overlay fits on the unit.
The overlays are lightweight, and have been carefully designed for easily installation on the equipment - but in some cases this may require removing pots and/or faders. On certain equipment you might also be required to remove access screws. Please see our other listings for hex keys for any given unit.
The gloss card overlays (including NovaLux and NovaGlam material products) can be removed or swapped for other designs. To provide additional adhesion - if needed - double-sided sticky strips are provided with each overlay. It's completely up to you if you wish to use these strips. Many units have pots, faders and / or bolts which hold the overlay in place - in these cases the strips may not be necessary, but some buyers find the extra adhesion very suitable for their needs. It's all down to personal preference.
Please note: Those who are looking for a more permanent 'skin' for their gear are recommended to consider one of the 'self-adhesive vinyl film' options.
* The rewritable options are a great choice for those who like to anootate as they work. Label up the channels on your MIDI mixer, mark where you need to set gain controls, or just draw random things all over your synth! The standard gloss card and NovaGlam materials allow you to write, rub out and rewrite to you're heart's content, but please note you'll need to use a dry-erase board pen NOT a permanent marker to do this (Novalays cannot be held accountable for lasting damage / marks on any overlay as a result of using an unsuitable pen or marker). We recommend doing a small test on the overlay (on the reverse side) to ensure the ink is not permanent. Please get in touch if you are uncertain as to which pen to buy for this purpose :-)

Delivery times: Each and every Novalays item gets produced carefully by hand, but we strive to get items dispatched as quickly as possible. The dispatch period is an estimate and in most cases the items will be ready for dispatch a lot sooner. Overseas/international orders can take up to several weeks to arrive, dependant on delivery routes to the destination country and subject to the most current rules for the regions along the way. Deliveries are not tracked as standard but if you suspect that your item has been lost in transit please get in touch and we can follow-up with the delivery company.
