On October 1, 2021, "The Metallica Blacklist", a project that celebrates the 30th anniversary of the release of "Metallica" aka "The Black Album" by Metallica, will be released by Polydor / Universal.

This is the unique reinterpretation, by more than 50 artists, of Metallica's "Black Album", one of the most important records in the history of music and which turns out to be the best-selling album in the history of Nielsen Soundscan, surpassing the publication of any genre over the past 30 years.

Each of the artists present contributed, alone or with other colleagues, rearranging and reinterpreting their favorite song from the Black Album in a unique way.

"The Metallica Blacklist" reveals how the 12 songs on the original album have had a shocking influence on fans and musicians of all genres, drawing the mainstream to Metallica for the first time and providing new insights into universal and non-universal appeal. time that characterizes it. The 53 tracks of The Metallica Blacklist in fact see the likes of J Balvin, Elton John, Alessia Cara, Mac De Marco, Miley Cyrus, Dave Gahan, Biffy Clyro, IDLES, Sam FENDER and many others sharing their love for these songs, for over 50 good causes: the proceeds from each sale will be split equally between the charities chosen by the individual artist and the Metallica All Within My Hands Foundation.
