1985 is  the year the original My Child doll was introduced. Boxes are dated 1987.    My Child dolls were developed by Mattel to compete with Coleco's popular Cabbage Patch Kids. They had a very short production run, ending around 1988, explaining the low number of dolls produced.

She is wearing her original Fashion Partytime  3 pc. cotton plisse pastel striped overalls with embroidered  top, white t-shirt with  matching hooded jacket.  Teal stripe matches her darling teal green shoes.  original Pampers  disposable diaper, and replaced  socks. Beautiful blond  curly hair, and green  eyes. (just about match her shoes)   original makeup..very slight chin sag (see photos)  and is fully posable
