5 - Scottsboro Depot - "Historic Depots of America" (1st in a Limited Series) - PBS Originals - PBS-0011 - 1985 - 4 pages (including front/back cover) - softcover leaflet.
The passenger depot at Scottsboro, Alabama is typical of many small town depots all across America, which were an integral part of life in the early 1900's. The depot was a favorite gathering place to wait for news from surrounding areas and for loved ones to arrive and depart for various reasons. The historical interest of the Scottsboro depot centers around the infamous "Scottsboro Boys" who rode the train through the town.

Design inspired by Louis Comfort Tiffany -- A View From Oyster Bay was created around the turn of the century for the William Skinner home on 39th Street in New York City. Tiffany mainted a home in Oyster Bay, Long Island, and the stained glass masterpiece is said to depict the view which the Tiffany house commanded. The piece contains the dominant color of blue which is characteristic of Tiffany and also the lovely Wisteria--a recurring motif in the Tiffany windows. A View From Oyster Bay presently is hanging in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Design size 262W X 291H.

I purchase or receive all my inventory secondhand (so I can't honestly know whether they are originally from a smoke-free or pet-free environment) and then they are stored at my smoke-free business. If you are very sensitive to smoke or pets, you would probably be better to buy them new from a retail store or from a first owner as your comfort is more important to me than any sale. |
