Item Description
This is a rare, vintage dress from Chanel. It is a size 38, which equates to a US women's size 4 (please see measurements to make certain it will fit you before you purchase it) and it is made of 100% silk with a pocket lining of 100% acetate. The dress features a houndstooth design in a shade of pink with black. It is collared, with a five-button placket, bracelet-length sleeves, a single-slit pocket on the right side, darts at the rear shoulders, inverted seams in the front and rear, black trim around the collar and near the sleeve-ends, ruching at the front above the chest and at the shoulders and a 6.5 inch side slit on the left(wearer's perspective.) The buttons are done in a golden tone, reading "COCO CHANEL PARIS FRANCE" and feature Coco Chanel's profile. Please note that the top button is the exact same in design but slightly smaller in size for ease of closure at the neck(please see photo eight.) The dress is finished with a slim ribbon in black that can tie in a bow beneath the collar, if desired. It is in excellent condition.
