About William Buffett
A graduate of The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, William Buffett has sold his work all over the world. He is known for his tropical townscapes, featuring palm trees and glimpses of the ocean. As a native of Southern California, he represents these landscapes in a delicate and sensual way with subtle colors and intuitive compositions. After formal training in the arts, he moved to New Orleans to see the jazz players and hear their music. The painting of jazz musicians is his true passion and he seems to capture the sound of the music in his dynamic paintings. A world traveler, he has visited Europe, Mexico and the Far East studying the great art collections. He enjoys success as a portrait painter, designer and printer of limited edition serigraphs and as a widely distributed poster artist, in addition to exhibiting and selling his original paintings. Today his work is in the collections of universities, corporations, and private individuals in America, Europe, Australia and Japan, as well as many islands in the Caribbean and Pacific. He presently lives and works in Nashville, Tennessee and is married to the well known abstract artist and interior designer Brenda Buffett. Less

Entertainment
Laguna Beach is the world mecca for skimboarding, the sport having been invented by the town's lifeguards over half a century ago.
The city also gained some national exposure in 2004 as the setting for the MTV reality soap opera Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County which is popular among the American youth today, now in its third season. The show was originally scheduled to follow the lives of students at Corona del Mar High School in the city of Newport Beach, but was changed to Laguna Beach High School when the city of Newport Beach would not allow filming. The publicity from the TV series has been good for Laguna Beach merchants, who have profitted from increased tourism, but has sometimes been disruptive to the community and has painted a negative picture of its character. Additionally, the reality show has given Laguna Beach a name as a city rife with spoiled, shallow jocks and beauty queens whose only concern is what to wear to the prom and whom is "hooking up" with whom (when in fact, the city is a bohemian enclave of art galleries and culture). The members of L.B Society at C.E.C are to guest star on an episode of Laguna Beach in 2007.
