For sale is this complete 1934 Standard 12 engine and gearbox. I was told that the engine had not done a lot of miles since being reconditioned. I have no proof of this and there is no guarantee but when you look at the engine it looks possible. The gearbox has lovely herring bone cut gears and is a four speed. The gearbox looks to be in good order. These engines were used in the Jaguar SS2. I don't know what differences there were with engine parts between the Standard 12 and the Jaguar SS2. What is for sale is what is seen in the pictures. I don't know if the gearbox can be used in the SS2The whole thing would need to be checked through with any work being carried out as necessary.
