This exceptionally impressive bowl has been expertly crafted in native Western Australian Marri timber (Corymbia calophylla) detailed with a wide band of Banksia cone inlaid to the rim. Each individual seed pod in the inlaid Banskia band has been beautifully detailed with sparkling iridescent inclusions which glisten with striking rainbow tones adding a dazzling jewel-like sparkle to the organic design. A layer of clear resin covers the inlaid Banskia cone, protecting the pitted surface while allowing the natural textures and bejewelled seed pods to show through.

The sleekly curved clean-lined form spectacularly displays the contrasting colours, natural beauty and striking grain of the native timbers.

This piece has been masterfully turned and polished to create a sleek, modern form which is both visually spectacular and a delight to the touch.

MARKS: This bowl is beautifully stamped to the base with Brian Davis' "BD Wood Designs" stamp. The materials used to craft this piece surround the stamp in hand written lettering.

THE ARTIST: Brian Davis is a talented woodturner and timber artist specialising in custom built furniture and artisan crafted decor pieces crafted from native timbers from his home state of Western Australia. His works featured in exclusive galleries and he is represented in many important collections.
