DESCRIPTION

A collection of three consecutive numbers of 'Flight' weekly aeronautical and engineering wartime publication, vol. XLII-XLIV, from July 1942 to December 1943. The first aeronautical weekly in the world, it was first founded in 1909. Each volume was edited by C M Poulsen. 

A weekly dedicated to aeronautical engineering and to the ongoing war. These publications comprise articles on the Convoy Battle and the British loss of Cyrenaica, the R. A. F. Regiment, the evolution of the German fighter, modern French designs, types of aircrafts and characteristics, service and industrial news from the inside of Axis and enemy-occupied countries, some correspondence, Americans bombing of the Ruhr, the American Pacific offensive, and more on interesting, contemporary events.

CONDITION

In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with some shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. The front and rear joints have slightly cracked to vol. XLIII and XLIV, tape repaired to the spine. With library stamps to the front free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound, the hinges professionally cloth repaired to the boards of each volume. The pages are very clean throughout with some age toning, as usual. Illustrated in text throughout.
