Adorable, 3 1/2" long, molded heavy yellow celluloid, "ROOSTER with EGG CART" filled with molded eggs. This toy is from an extensive collection of salesman's samples obtained from the closed factory and was used as one of their models in the factory. He is direct from the closed USA factory (in Leominster, Ma.* and closed in 1973 after producing one of the largest assortments of blown celluloid and plastic baby toys in the world). He has the intertwined Viscoloid USA signature on one side of the bottom of his tail feathers indicating his manufacturer and is in excellent condition with no cracks or holes and no chips or repairs (slight dent under his chest). Similar models are shown on page 59, "Celluloid Dolls Toys & Playthings"-Robinson for $175 value. *In 1924, the Viscoloid company sold their molds to the IRWIN Corporation.
