This course builds a student’s spelling ability in thirty-six lessons with the use of phonics rules. The workbook instructs the student to spell with the use of short and long vowel sounds, double consonants, special blends, digraphs oo and or, diphthongs, word endings, prefixes, suffixes, and compound words. The student is expected to learn twenty words per week. Instructors may need to read directions to the student, at least in the early lessons. The student must complete all the lessons in the book. The workbook is published by Christian Liberty Press. This course is graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis.
