"Quartz-5", 1965-1974

Narrow-film cinematographer designed for shooting amateur films. Designed to work with 8mm (2x8mm) film reeled up on a reel. The useful capacity of the reel is 7.5 m of film, which makes it possible to obtain 15 m of film.

Semi-automatic aperture setting provides efficiency when shooting and eliminates the possibility of error in determining the exposure.

Lens "Meteor-2-3" with a variable focal length allows you to smoothly change the image scale. The change in focal length is coordinated with the through (non-parallax) sight. The eyepiece of the reticle has a diopter adjustment within ± 5D.

The spring drive, when fully wound, pulls 2 m of film.

The shooting frequency of 12, 16, 24, 32 and 48 frames per second, single-frame shooting, rewinding of the film, the grab shut-off unit significantly expand the capabilities of the movie camera.
