This patch was used during the Soviet time in USSR by students who were part of the constructions brigades that were dispatched all over Soviet Union to help build monumental Soviet undertakings. BAM (Baikal Amur Railroad) was one of such projects. ЛСО is the Russian abbreviation for Summer Construction Brigade.
