Vintage OPTEK Soviet Russian light meter

Optical exposure meter "OPTEK" is intended to set a time in the conditions of natural and artificial lighting for black and white photography.
The principle of operation of the exposure meter "OPTEK" is based on a visual assessment of the relative brightness of frosted glass, aimed at target. Relative brightness matte is determined by the optical step wedge, which caused a number of transparent numbers: 2, 2, 8, 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 16. Optical density of the image numbers uniformly increases with increasing numerical value, and the rest of the transparent optical wedge. The greater the relative brightness of the ground glass, the greater the number of digits will be different eye for a given level of adaptation, right down to the last digit of a number - 16.
