The Humanitarian Service Medal (HSM) is a military service medal of the United States Armed Forces which was created on January 19, 1977 by President Gerald Ford under Executive Order 11965. The medal may be awarded to any member of the United States military (including Reserve and National Guard members) who distinguishes himself or herself by meritorious participation in specified military acts or operations of a humanitarian nature.

My father was a Colonel in the USAF and collected patches, medals and pins from every Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine unit he visited all over the Country and World to give to me as souvenirs.  At least that is how it started, now I'm selling the collection AND buying and re-selling, seems this hobby is quite addictive!  Condition is BRAND NEW!  Shipped with USPS First Class Package.
