Popular since the Victorian times and native to North America, these are possibly one of the easiest of the indoor ferns to grow. The Boston Fern is a top houseplant for purifying and filtering the air as well.

The Boston Fern is sometimes called the Sword fern. It has graceful, arching, green fronds with a ruffled appearance.

They can be displayed in a hanging basket or as stand alone plants. The Boston Fern will not only bring an air of calm to your home. It is one of the best known plants for purifying the air and regulating humidity.

Light: Boston ferns tolerate a varied range of light conditions but it is best placed in indirect bright natural light.

Watering: This fern likes to be kept moist at all times. Water when soil surface becomes dry. Do not over water. Avoid watering with very cold water, and use soft water if possible due to its sensitivity to chemicals.

Humidity: It prefers higher humidity and doesn't do well in dry air. Do not place near radiators.
