The Shag formerly known as The Shags and later simply as Shag were an American garage and psychedelic

rock band  in the 1960's best known for their 1967 single "Stop and Listen". They were one of numerous 

bands at the time using the name "The Shags". "Stop and Listen" was written and sung by McCall and  

featured his fuzz guitar. It has been cited as one of the first anti-drug rock songs to be recorded. 



THE CIRCUS

Saturday September 20, 1969

The Circus was a Cleveland, Ohio-based area power pop band active in the late sixties thru the mid-seventies. 

Their lone, self titled album was released in 1973, and their single "Stop, Wait & Listen" debuted at #91

on the Billboard Hot 100 charts on March 17 of that year.

The Guild was a St. Louis, Mo. based area power pop surf band active in the late sixties thru the mid-seventies.

DOUG CLARK & THE HOT NUTS

 Originally from Chapel Hill, N.C.  Doug Clark & The Hot Nuts was a R&B novelty band that has played 

party and club dates for more than fifty years. and was big on the college circuits.

This is an original very rare 1st print poster from a music club in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. 
It is from 1969 and has somehow survived for over 50 years!


It measures 9" x 12" and is in decent condition.
It has some paper flaking from age on the left side and 2 pinholes.
The coloration is excellent.... 
I purchased this from another collector years ago with the intention of having 
 it framed, but never did.  It's ready for a new home and a proper frame!
