Vintage 40s black dress in a heavy crepe (no fabric label). The dress has ¾ - long sleeves, a fitted bodice with a split at the neckline and an applique design either side of the split neckline. The dress has an unusual gathered skirt as it is smocked at the top to form the gathers. The dress fastens at the side with self fabric buttons.
