PREPPING/PAINTING/FINISHING ADVICEGo over your saddle tree(s) with a small wire brush or steel wool. Wash with soap in warm water and rinse thoroughly. Soak in lemon juice for 30 minutes to oxidize the pewter. Prime with auto primer. Prep coat with white or gray paint, and final coat with the cream color of your choice. Testors Acrylic Paint is recommended (it is a non-toxic model paint that can be washed up with Testors Acrylic Cleaner or with just water, and can be mixed, brushed, or airbrushed). Finish with Testors Model Master Lusterless Flat Finish Spray Paint.
