This is an original press photo. San Francisco - Ground Gainer - Dick Bass, College of Pacific junior halfback, checks over his equipment in the locker room a the college in Stockton, CA. Bass, who has been making a runaway of the race for national rushing honors, was held to 57 yards by Cincinnati, but he still has an 8.99 yard a carry average for four games. In COP's first loss to Cincinnati Saturday, his average was 3.6, but coach Jack Myers said he's still glad Bass is on his team. He ought to be. The 185 pounder has a total net yardage of 619 yards, almost all of it on the ground.Photo measures 8 x 10inches. Photo is dated 11-13-1958.
