COURGETTE SEEDS - HUGE SELECTION OF VARIETIES

Item Description

A huge selection of the some of the best varieties available. The courgette is one of the most popular vegetables in the squash family.

Simply select the variety from the drop down list and add each variety you wish to purchase to the shopping cart.

  • A sunny spot protected from strong winds is essential.
  • The soil should be well drained and rich in humus, the more the better.
  • For an early start (late Mar) place a single seed edge-ways 1/2 inch deep in seed compost in a 3 inch pot. The critical part is temperature, these need at least 65 F continuous soil temperature (preferably more to maximise germination rates) until germinated.
  • Keep the soil moist /  water copiously around the plants, not over them.
  • Keep weed free to allow air circulation.
  • Once the plants start to fruit, feed every 14 days with a tomato type fertilizer, these are greedy plants.

Germination notes

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - Please note seed is a live product which depends on many important related grower skills such as proper planting time, seed depth, and type of soil, watering, proper use of fertilizers, weed controls, fungicides, insecticides, disease free soil, and reasonable weather conditions during the growing period. Germination is affected by such factors as temperature, moisture content, light intensity and contamination of planting media.

Although we do everything possible to get seeds to you in the best possible condition and will provide as much help as possible, these factors are totally outside of our control and once you receive the seeds its over to you. Consequently, we can take no responsibility for the suitability to your local conditions of any variety offered, the indicative cultivation advice provided or ultimately the varieties performance. As such you should seek local advice to carefully ensure your local conditions and the time of season are appropriate to the variety purchased.
