Just The Right Shoe "PROMENADE" 1998 by Raine #25018

Released 6/98, Retired 8/02. Category / History

History Year 1908
In the early 20th century, the first feature on shoes appeared in fashion magazines A growing cotton trade made delicate gauzes or layers of sheer fabrics popular for dresses. A high-throated shoe was the height of fashion as women dared to reveal a glimpse of a foot through translucent fabric. Pearl buttons add a note of elegance as do a bead or rhinestone decoration. With a fan, a hat, a parasol, and gloves, you're ready for a Sunday stroll. As women's lives became more active, shoes that contained the feet continued to be worn for outdoor events. But by the 1920's, high shoes were deemed suitable only for the elderly or infirm as woman prepared to kick their heels up -or off- and dance.

This shoe will be shipped to you next business day with COA, original box, and packing. It is in new condition with no flea bites, scuffs, or damaged paint and is in a non-smoking environment. I practice safe shipping as these shoes are soooo fragile.

Shoes made in 2011 and 2012 were never issued COA's. In 2013, COA's started being issued again.

The shoe pictured in my listing is the actual shoe you will be purchasing and not just a display so please look closely at pictures as I want you to know exactly what you are buying. Note that white specks and lines you might see is from glare of bright lights and camera.
