SIZING

The tag labels this a size Small, but vintage sizes tend to run smaller than modern sizes.  I believe this dress would best fit a modern size XS.  The actual measurements are as follows: 

Bust: 15.5 inches across, underarm to underarm (31 inches around.  For reference, my mannequin has a 32 inches bust, and this dress was a little snug in the chest on her)
Waist: 13 inches across (26 inches around)
Hips:  Full and roomy
Length: 51 inches from the top of the bodice to the hem 

Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around.  

DESCRIPTION

This is an absolutely stunning vintage formal from the late 80s - early 90s that was made in the USA by Savoy's.  The bodice of the dress is made out of a lace mesh that is accented in ornate metallic silver embroidery, and the bodice is lined in black acetate.  The dress is strapless, and there is flexible boning in the bodice for support.  The dress has a fitted waist, and the skirt has a flared A-line cut with a huge sweep at the bottom.  The skirt is made out of three layers.  The outer layer is a shiny silver chiffon, the middle layer is black acetate, and the inner layer is an attached black tulle crinoline.  The dress closes with a zipper down the back.   

CONDITION

This dress is in very good vintage condition.  I noticed just the tiniest bit of discoloration along the edge of the lace in the underarm area (see picture for example).  It is very faint and shouldn't be noticeable when the dress is worn!

I go to the post office every week day, Monday - Friday.  I typically ship items out one business day after I've received payment, so if I receive payment on Friday, your item will go in the mail Monday (although if I receive payment early enough, I might get it in the mail the same day). If you need an item to be shipped right away, just let me know and I will do my best to get it out to you as soon as possible! 

PLEASE NOTE: I will ship your item to the address listed on the payment, so please make sure that your address is up-to-date!  

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I am happy to ship internationally, but please note that as the buyer, you are responsible for any taxes or duties your customs office might charge on packages coming from the USA.  

Customs fees are not included in the cost of shipping unless otherwise specified by ebay.

The large majority of the items in my store are vintage and/or pre-owned.  I will list any major flaws in the item description.  However, most vintage clothing has been around for several decades or more, and it may have some minor snags in the fabric, the occasional loose thread or other minimal signs of wear.  Vintage items may also have raw seams that have not been serged.  By purchasing, you are accepting that these items are used and may not be 100% perfect.
