Chagall designed 12 stained glass windows for the Synagogue in the Hadassah-Hebrew Medical University, in Jerusalem.

The twelve windows, represent the twelve gates of heaven.

Paper size: 12 3/4" x 9 5/8"

Frame size: 19 1/2" x 15 1/2"

 

Based on the original gauche, this lithograph was produced under the direction of Marc Chagall and printed in Paris in 1962 at the atelier Mourlot.

It was produced in an edition of 5,000 and is unsigned as is appropriate for this edition.
