Very attractive and historic printed to private order postal card with caption, "Sachsisch - Thuringische  Industrie u. Gewerbe Ausstellung lepzig 1897 Kaiser Maximillan bestatigte das Privilgium der Lepziger Messen 1497 Die Ausstellung veranstaltet durch grosse Festlichkeiten eine 400 jahrige Jubelfeier vom 31 August - 5. September 1897." translated as Saxon - Thuringian industry and trade exhibition in Lepzig 1897 Emperor Maximillan confirmed the privilege of the Lepzig trade fairs in 1497. The exhibition organized a 400-year jubilee celebration from August 31 to September 5, 1897 with large festivities. Possibly sent with local usage, pre-printed return address and expo cancel.
