For sale is a nice large coin silver pedestal salt cellar with repousse decoration and a glass liner.  The piece is 2 1/4 inches tall by 2 7/8 inches in diameter and weighs 86 grams.  The salt has an applied inner rim, beaded edges, a cupped body with repousse floral scroll chasing, and a stepped pedestal base with additional chased decoration.  It is monogrammed “P” in a cartouche on one side.  It has a heavy clear blown glass liner.  There are no marks.

Condition on the salt is fairly good.  There are some dents to the foot rim and some to the body as well, particularly on the monogram.  It leans slightly to one side, and there are also normal signs of use.  A fine old salt cellar.
