These are solid state neon transformers. They are designed to operate a neon sign only! They CANNOT be used for a Tesla coil, Jacob's ladder, wood burning, O-zone generator or other "experiments" or "projects". They are intended to power a NEON SIGN ONLY, and they CANNOT be dimmed with external dimmer controls. Attempting to do any of this will destroy the unit and VOID THE WARRANTY! THIS UNIT IS A REPLACEMENT NEON SIGN TRANSFORMER / POWER SUPPLY FOR A CPI Advanced Model CPI-6-35 or CPI-6035.

This is a NeonPro Model ME-120-6000-30. IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST TO 6,000v OUTPUT. It is a suitable replacement for the CPI 6,000 models. This unit will power the same amount of neon as a CPI-6-35 or CPI-6035. It is rated at 30mA vs. 35mA for the CPI. So the sign will be virtually the same brightness.

CPI states the OUTPUT on the label as Peak voltage. NeonPro states the label OUTPUT as RMS voltage. NeonPro indicates the Peak voltage in the model number. In this case, ME-120-6000-30. The self-adjusting feature of the NeonPro will automatically adjust to a 6,000 volt requirement.

PLEASE NOTE: This unit may not mount in the same two mounting holes as the CPI. You may need to drill at least one (1) additional hole. This is something that is easy to do. One of the existing holes may be used, but the center to center distance of the mounting holes may be different, so another hole may be required.

The self-adjusting feature eliminates the need to replace your 6kV transformer with a specific 6kV unit. This self-adjusting 6kV unit will work for any indoor neon sign that requires a 2kv to 6kV transformer, including a 6,000 volt transformer.
