Here is a framed antique watercolor painting.
NOTE: The matting is stained and dirty. The frame is worn. The paper has a horizontal crease near the bottom. See pictures.
The frame measures 20 1/2" by 18 1/2".
The inside edges of the matting measure 11 1/2" by 7 1/2".
The back is tagged by Lionel Clarke Galleries & Print Room.
It reads: "Watercolour. Griset, Ernest Henry (French 1844-1907), Dutch peasants. Signed. Watercolorist and illustrator; exhibited London 1871. Victoria and Albert Museum has an example of his work."
