Handmade ceramic wine glass was made on pottery wheel fom red clay, fired for the first time and after that soaked in milk and baked a second time at low temperature.

Milking is one of the oldest and probably the most environmentally friendly way to decorate pottery. It is used to give ceramic ware water resistance and an authentic look. In the process of this firing, calcium and casein contained in the milk  clog the micropores of the ceramic surfaces, as a result of which the dishes cease to absorb moisture. In addition, the products acquire a uniform pleasant color.
Milking is a completely natural method of processing ceramic dishes. No artificial chemicals are used in this type of firing, so the resulting dishes when heated do not emit hazardous substances, do not react with food during cooking. Such ware is absolutely ecological.
