This is a vintage 1950s Simplicity 1472 Misses Size 12 Maternity Tops pattern. These pretty tops for the mother to be may be gathered or pleated to yoke. View 1 elbow length sleeves and view 2 short sleeves are cut in one with yoke. Bias piping trim, view 1, is contrasting, Lace edges contrasting detachable collar and cuffs, view 2. Sleeveless version, view 3, has a low rounded neckline. Dainty lace edging trims yoke.
Pattern is cut but all pieces are present. Envelope is torn but pattern is not affected. Instructions are torn (see photo) but are still usable.
Suggested fabrics are linen, pique, cotton faille or ottoman, rayon linen, shantung, synthetic cotton blends, cotton surah, rayons, wool.
