This small thin  metal plate is actually some sort of die/ pattern plate from a foundry that was used in the making of aluminum/armetale plates-plaques-awards-ect. I got it from a York PA foundry that closed some years ago. The lettering/images are raised.   Look at all the photos.  /bx/1061//
