For sale is a fine early Albany, New York federal coin silver soup ladle by Isaac Hutton, ca 1805-1815.  The ladle is 13 5/8 inches long with a 4 inch wide bowl and weighs 157 grams.  It has a large swaged arch drop, no shoulders and a downturned rounded fiddle handle.  The ladle is monogrammed “JLG” on the handle front as shown.  It is marked [HUTTON] in a rectangle as shown.

 

Condition on the ladle is very good.  There are just a couple of tiny bowl dings and normal surface wear.  It has not been buffed.  A very fine coin soup ladle.
