This film is the second and last that George Raft and Edward G. Robinson starred in together, the first being Manpower (1941). This film was Edward G. Robinson's 64th full length motion picture and he was famous for playing mobster types, as he does in this film. This was partially due to his actual mafia connections to Bugsy Siegel, Virginia Hill, and Owney Madden.
