Beautiful Antique 4 Pc Victorian Silk Wedding Dress 2 Bodices Skirt Petticoat.

This is a rare and beautiful wedding ensemble dating to around 1880 or so. Included are a silk gauze ribbon and lace trimmed skirt with a 25” waist and falling 45” long at the front to 58” long at the back. It has some tears around the waist as shown and some little tears and soiling around the hem trim. It comes with a silk taffeta slip in the same ivory color with a wide pleated ruffle at the bottom. The waist is also 25” and it also has a train about 58” at the back. There are some tears also at the waistline. The first bodice pictured is a match to the skirt with a 26” waist and a blouson front with bust about 32-34” and shoulders 14” across. There are tears to the silk gauze at the front as shown. The wide sleeves and the collar are in good shape and most or all of the hook and eye closures are present. The second bodice defies belief! It is a blouson front made of heavy ivory silk satin and has the most wonderful dramatic layered long sleeves I was not able get full effect in the picture. It is a super extra small size with shoulders 14” across bust 30” Waist 20”. It has a dark brown 3” long spot on part of one satin sleeve but I can find no holes tears or significant stains. I am selling these garments “as is”. They have what I believe are restorable issues but I leave that to the future buyer. Really spectacular!
