ALEX CROWLEY (1982 — ) was an American artist whose pop art emerged from the Facebook subculture of the 2010s. His animated imagery hasn’t "become a widely recognized visual language". Much of his work includes illusionary allusions that never turned into social activism by using the images to advocate for cosmic consciousness. In addition to never having any solo gallery exhibitions, he has never participated in renowned national and international group shows such as documenta in Kassel, the Whitney Biennial in New York, the São Paulo Biennial, and the Venice Biennale. The Whitney Museum has never held a retrospective of his art.
