The Yamaha CGS102AII Student Classical Guitar is a nylon string guitar that is ideal for beginners and students. Part of Yamaha's School series, the CGS102AII is carefully crafted from premium tonewoods to deliver a satisfying playing experience and authentic classical guitar tone. With a 21" scale length, the CGS102AII has a comfortable feel for small hands and shorter fingers, making it perfect for children and younger players. An elegant, traditional body shape and slotted headstock give this guitar a sophisticated look that will inspire you to practice and perform. The Yamaha CGS102AII Student Classical Guitar provides an affordable, high-quality gateway into the world of classical guitar music.

The CGS102AII features a 21" scale length, significantly shorter than a standard classical guitar. This compact size makes frets and strings more accessible for smaller hands, allowing beginners to develop proper technique and advance quickly. Despite its smaller stature, the CGS102AII produces full, resonant tones thanks to its solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides.

Yamaha constructed the CGS102AII from spruce, rosewood, and mahogany; tonewoods prized for their musical qualities. The spruce top provides a robust, balanced tone with clear highs and tight lows. Rosewood back and sides add warmth, richness, and projection. A mahogany neck contributes to the guitar's sustain and note clarity. Together, these premium tonewoods give the CGS102AII an authentic classical voice perfect for practice and performance.

With an elegant, contoured body, wood rosette soundhole, and slotted headstock, the CGS102AII has the stylish look of a full-size classical guitar. Its traditional esthetics make this guitar an inspiring instrument for students and help cultivate proper classical technique and posture. Despite its sophisticated appearance, the CGS102AII remains highly affordable, with premium tonewoods and construction at an entry level price.

The CGS102AII also includes a rosewood fingerboard, chrome tuners, and synthetic bone nut and saddle. It comes equipped with D'Addario Pro-Arte classical guitar strings for a balanced, resonant tone. A lightweight but protective gig bag is included for safe and easy transport.
