Decoupling Membranes are often used in old and newly built Houses as the to absorb any movement from the ground – the membrane acts as a decoupling layer to absorb any lateral movements, which prevents the tiled floor from cracking and breaking up.

This decoupling membrane is designed to be waterproofing while be able to accomodate and take loose cable heating between the 3.2mm and 5mm in thickness so that it does 3 jobs create a waterprrof barrier, easy fix of losse cable while also allow any movement in the sub floor not to follow through and crack tiles.
