E' un minerale che si origina naturalmente da eruzioni vulcaniche.
Da molti anni è largamente impiegata nel settore del florovivaismo professionale e hobbistico per le sue elevate caratteristiche di porosità e leggerezza.
La struttura alveolare della pomice funge come una sorta di spugna in grado di immagazzinare acqua e poi cederla gradualmente al terreno e alle piante; i pori di maggiori dimensioni trattengono invece l'aria, favorendone la circolazione all'interno dei suoli argillosi e compatti, ossigenando il terreno e prevenedo asfissie radicali.
La pietra pomice può essere usata in purezza per creare strati drenanti, oppure mescolata ai nostri TERRICCI per alleggerire la struttura del substrato finale.

It is a mineral that naturally originates from volcanic eruptions.
For many years it has been widely used in the professional and hobby horticultural sector due to its high porosity and lightness characteristics.
The alveolar structure of the pumice acts as a sort of sponge able to store water and then gradually release it to the soil and plants; the larger pores instead retain the air, favoring its circulation within the clayey and compact soils, oxygenating the soil and preventing root asphyxiation.
The pumice stone can be used in purity to create draining layers, or mixed with our SOILS to lighten the structure of the final substrate.
