This listing is for the Author's Edition of "From Tokio Through Manchuria With The Japanese". The book is signed by the author as "the author", and this edition is limited.to 300 copies of which this is number 252. The book is signed also by Donald McLean on the first blank page. I believe this to be the British politician who served as The President of The Board of Education in 1931, and earlier as The Leader of The Opposition from 1918 - 1920, but I do not have definitive proof that this is the case. The book is dedicated to Mrs. Donald McLean. There are photos of all signatures available.

This book is in very good conditon. The binding is strong and all pages are clean and intact. There is no writing, highlighting, or underlining beyond that of the author and the name of the previous owner on the first blank page. There is also a small pencil notation of a price, also from a previous owner at the top of the blank page. This can all be seen in the photos. The hardcover is in very sturdy and attractive condition, showing only fairly minor loss of design, and some scuffing and rubbing from years of shelving or storage. The spine is darker than the front cover with a very small tear in the fabric near the top, and the gold lettering is a little faded but completely legible as can be seen in the photos. There is also a small spot of discoloration on the rear board. The pages show no age spots that I found, and are also in very good condition. There are photos of the book from multiple angles, publication information, the author's signature, and pages.  Please see all photos before purchasing and feel free to contact me with any question
