For sale is a rare form Antique 19th Century toleware tin can/ canister/ tea caddy/ cookie jar with all original hand painted design. The original decorative band on the front of the jar is well preserved with nice muted color due to old age. The cylinder form body is in great antique condition. No dents. No holes. The latch and hinge functions properly. The lid fits perfectly when opening and closing. The lid hoop handle is present.

The jar measures approximately 7” tall (including the hoop on the lid) and 7” in diameter.The paint had beautifully aged but quite visible. It is artistic hand painted in traditional method and design. Nice tin patina throughout! Age appropriate surface wears and imperfections are to be expected. Overall, this is a nice early tin/ antique primitive/ American folk art item that would be a great display item in your antique kitchen.
