From the estate of the man whose name is inscribed inside, this Masonic Scottish Rite ring is wrought from 14k yellow gold with an overlaid white gold double eagle. The eagle has a small 2mm bezel-set old mine diamond. One side of the ring is plain; the other side has the Mason's square and compass symbol, the Scottish Rite red cross with green foliage, and the triangle or pyramid- all picked out in black, red and green enamels. There are no hallmarks but the ring has been tested to be 14k.

The inside of the band is embossed VIRTUS JUNXIT MORS NON SEPARABIT and is incised A.J. Gillette 4-11-'45. The band is 7.5 mm wide. Weight is 7 grams. The ring is size 8 3/4 (probably best fits a 8 1/2 finger because the band is so wide) and cannot be re-sized because of the enamel work. There is some wear/dings around the edge of the band and a little loss of enamel on the triangle.
