The 1960s never really felt like a decade – it was more like a century, at the very least, judging by the sheer amount of music that was crammed into it.
Music which embraced a wide gamut of styles and sub-genres over those ten years. It’s only fitting that this 3CD retrospective of the era – which also encompasses all of those styles – should contain the Beatles’ very first single, Love Me Do, since that’s kind of where modern pop music began.
The cherry on the top of this Sixties confection is the fact that in addition to all the rock, pop and soul, you can also groove along to the theme tunes of James Bond and the Batman TV show. Enjoy!
