Circa 2000 modernist  sterling silver designer ring.  Handmade  in London UK by "BW" (sponsor)  silversmith . Hallmarked "BW"  (capital B and W letters in 2 circle cartouche)  925 (fineness - .925 pure silver - sterling)  and a leopards head  (London UK Assay office mark).  There is no date mark as it was optional after 1999. There is also an additional "925" stamp separate from the formal hallmarks.

The total weight of 14.2 grams (or .45 OZT). The ring has 2 faceted rectangular stones - the larger is jet black (most likely onyx) - it measures about 21m long x 7mm wide. The other is translucent  smoke tinted (or light gray) and measures 15mm long x 6mm wide.  Both stones are set securely and tight. There are signs of use on both stones. There are no major scratches, cracks or chips in either stone. The design of the ring lends itself to easily adjust a size or 2 smaller or larger by gently pulling the sides away or pressing  closer to each other. There is a rhodium or white gold plating over the sterling silver that displays some signs of wear when inspected up close. The plating keeps a bright finish on the surface of the ring - that does not oxidize like normal untreated sterling silver does.
