JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE!!! Vintage Alaskan swirl pottery seal figure. This red and white seal is so adorable and is signed on the bottom by the artist H Lugiallo.

Item is Preowned. No chips or cracks. Has a very small spot of glaze loss (shown in photos).

Info about the clay that was used for this piece: “white/cinnamon brown marbled colors of the highly sought "Earthquake Clay", only found in select areas of Alaska! This clay surfaced during the 1964 earthquake and is found in the rivers and inlets of the Cook Inlet area. In its natural state, it is gray, but changes to this lovely cinnamon brown when fired and the marbling effect is achieved by mixing with white clay and thus the marbling becomes part of the artist's own style.”
