The original cards from this set are now more than 90 years of age. Team sets - to say nothing of the full 200 cards - are not within the budgets of any but the well-heeled hobbyists among us. An excellent feature length article on this set and its companion (M101-4), produced by printer Felix Mendelsohn, appears in the Summer 2008 issue of Old Cardboard magazine.

The cards are reproduced in the original (1-5/8" by 3") size and feature quality black and white action photographs. The backs are blank.

In 1915, the Senators ranked fourth in the American League pennant race with a fine 85-68 record but they finished 17 games behind the champion Red Sox. In '16 Washington fell to 7th place (76-77) but league parity was achieved as evidenced by the fact that the club actually improved to just 14-1/2 games back of the repeat champion Boston club!
