A superb and rare image, of the Kawasaki 500 H1 Mach III (Kawasaki 500 H1 Mach 3), in the paddock on the circuit of Monza during the 500 km race event that was held on the 12th of July 1970.

The Kawasaki two strokes were very strong contenders, in the 500cc and later also the 350cc and 750cc classes. Shown is the Kawasaki 500cc H1 Mach 3. A frightingly powerful and fast motorcycle that scored many impressive results on circuits all over Europe. It is shown in the paddock of Monza, during the 500km racing event, which was one of the racing highlights of the year.

The Kawasaki H1 Mach III replaced the early A1 and A7, it was a high performance motorcycle which was introduced in 1968. In 1972 it was joined by the 250cc Kawasaki S1 Mach I ( Mach 1 ) and the 350cc Kawasaki S2 Mach II ( Kawasaki Mach 2). Later the Kawasaki H2 Mach IV ( Mach 4 ) and the 400cc S3 joined the famous family of Kawasaki triples. They evolved in the S1B, S1B, S1C etc., but also inspired the model line of the famous Kawasaki KH and racing Kawasaki KR model series.

In the early 1970’s, long distance racing was extremely popular in Italy. These events were responsible for the quick gaining popularity of the heavier sports motorcycle, like the Kawasaki 350, 500 and 750 triples, but also heavy four strokes like the Honda CB 750 Four and the Ducati 750 SS, the Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, the Benelli 650 Tornado and the Laverda 750 SFC. Riders that would make world fame, like Franco Uncini and Marco Lucchinelli, all participated in these races before they made the steps to the Grand Prix World Championship racing scene.

This is your rare chance to own an image that reflects a very interesting piece of Kawasaki’s glorious history. Therefore it is printed in a nice large format of ca. 8" x 11.8" (ca. 20 x 30 cm).
